What is VPS HostingGoDaddy

What is VPS
GoDaddy offers several types of website hosting. This video offers an explanation of VPS hosting
and some tips for determining if its the right solution for you. VPS stands for Virtual Private Server. To make VPS hosting a little easier to understand,
lets take a quick look at two other kinds of hosting and compare them to VPS hosting.

On one hand, theres shared hosting. Your website files are housed on a server
along with the files of other websites, and the servers bandwidth and resources are
shared among all the websites on that server. You have very little control over the server
settings or operations. Think of it like renting a unit in an apartment
complex where you share parking space, storage, and laundry facilities with others in the
complex.

Shared hosting is an affordable solution that
is generally well suited to most small- and many medium-sized businesses that have simple,
straightforward websites with daily traffic under 2,000 visitors. On the other hand, theres dedicated hosting,
in which you lease the amount of exclusive server space you think youll need and you
have full use of the server bandwidth and resources. Theres no sharing with other websites. You can control and customize the software
and computing operations as needed; even though you dont have access to the server hardware.

Its similar to living in a large single-family
home. Dedicated hosting is often the right solution
for large, complex, high-traffic sites and applications. Now consider VPS hosting. You have your own space on a physical server
that is partitioned into multiple private environments.

The technical term for this is virtualization. So while others may reside on the same physical
server as you, your space is yours alone and you dont share resources and bandwidth
like you do with shared hosting. Like dedicated hosting, VPS hosting allows
a high degree of control and customization. You can change server settings, install software,
add users, and even turn the server on and off as needed.

One way to visualize VPS hosting is to think
about living in a condominium building. A single building is divided into multiple
private units of various sizes. Each unit has a private laundry room and storage
area, and a reserved parking space  resources that do not have to be shared with other condo
residents  and you can control and customize your living space as needed. In general, VPS hosting is more affordable
than dedicated hosting.

Its a good solution when you want your
own server space and resources, and the control of dedicated hosting  but you dont need
the amount of space and power that dedicated hosting provides..

What is the best website hosting and best WordPress hosting Top 3 Hosting Review of 2018

What is the best website hosting and best WordPress hosting Top 3 Hosting Review of 2018
Choosing a hosting company can be confusing. How do you find the best website hosting company or
the best wordpress hosting with so many options in hosting and so many confusing choices? In this video Im going to introduce you
to three hosting companies that I have used and really like. Each one offers different services so Ill
help you decide which one is right for your project. Im Tim from realwebsitehints.Com and its
my mission to help you find the best and easiest ways of building great websites.

If your interested in getting hosting with
one of these companies Ill include some affiliate links in the description bellow. If there are any discounts that I can offer
Ill be sure to link to those as well. As well as providing you with a discount these
links also provide me with a little bit of a commission that helps me to test website
building products and to make free tutorials on my youtube channel and on my website, so
I thank you for your support. In this hosting review Im just going to
focus on what I think are the best website hosting companies right now.

Ive tried several other hosting companies,
that just didnt make the cut from me, but I dont think that you can go wrong with
any of these three hosting companies. There are a few things to keep in mind when
choosing a website hosting company. First you can always move your website. That is one of the benefits of building your
own website with an open source platform like WordPress.

Next, all of the recommended hosting companies
that cover in this review have at least a 30 day money back guarantee. So if you arent satisfied with their service
you can always change your mind and switch to a different company. Choosing the best website hosting company
is all about finding the right price, options and level of service that you need. Each of these hosting companies in this hosting
review are either currently or have been in the past featured on WordPress.Org.

So you don't have to take just my word for
it. The first on my list is Dreamhost. Dreamhost is the company that I started with
when I built my first website. The main thing that I like about Dreamhost
is the simplicity of their pricing plans.

If youre looking for WordPress hosting
you have 2 basic options. Their shared hosting option which is an unlimited
hosting plan, so thats unlimited websites that you can host, unlimited bandwidth and
unlimited email accounts. This hosting is great if you are just getting
started and want to build multiple websites or even if just have just one smaller website. The next level of hosting they offer for WordPress
is their DreamPress WordPress managed hosting.

Dreampress offers a Virtual Private Server
that is configured to provide better performance for your website depending on your traffic
and the configuration of your website. This level of hosting also includes a Jetpack
premium subscription which gives you malware monitoring, daily offsite website backups,
easy to read website statistics so that you can easily see what viewers on your website
are doing and several other features that increase the performance and make it easier
for you to manage your website. Another key think that I like about Dreamhost
is registering domains with Dreamhost. All domains that you register with Dreamhost
include domain privacy standard.

Where I found that most companies charge a
lot extra for this feature. What domain privacy does is keeps your mailing
address your email address and your phone number out of the general record. This prevents you from getting tons of spam
email, junk mail and robo-sales calls. Even if you dont host your website with
Dreamhost I think that they are a great domain registrar.

If you want to learn about Dreamhost website
hosting check out the link below and if you want help setting up WordPress on Dreamhost
look in the description below this video or at the end of this video for my link in Setting
up WordPress on Dreamhost. Next on my list is Bluehost. Bluehost is a very popular web hosting company. They really specialize in making hosting easy
as well as offering all sorts of assistance to you in figuring out your hosting and getting
your website up and running.

Depending on the promotions that they are
offering, Bluehost can also be the least expensive hosting company to get started with. One thing that I really like about Bluehost
is their walk me thru feature. If you want to know how to do something on
their hosting panel you can turn on their walk me thru feature and it will show you
step by step how to do it. Bluehost also offers lots of other help and
support features at an additional charge.

So if you need a little extra help with your
hosting or with your website and are you dont mind paying a bit extra for the convenience
Bluehost can help you out. Some of the key thinks that I like about Bluehost
are their basic site backups are included. Getting a hold of a representative via online
chat has been very quick in my experience. And if you want to keep your costs down for
the first year they offer some of the best promotional introductory pricing.

Bluehost also offers lots of plans so its
easy to move your site up to a higher level plan if youd like. If you think you might be interested in website
hosting with Bluehost check out the link below this video. And if you want help setting up a new WordPress
website with Bluehost Ill include a link to my tutorial on how to do that in the description
bellow and at the end of this video. Next up is Siteground.

Siteground is another great hosting company
to use to keep your initial costs down. Their regular introductory pricing is usually
$3.95 A month. They have data centers all over the world
so its easy for your to have your site hosted near where your viewers are. Siteground also has an excellent online support
staff.

Ive had a few questions over the period
of time that Ive had hosting with Siteground and it never took long to get connected with
someone and get the answer to the question that I needed. Siteground also offers all Solid State drives
for all of their web hosting on all of their plans. This helps your site load quickly even on
their basic level of hosting. All accounts also offer free daily basic backups
for your website.

If something happens to your website you can
reload an older version of it easily. Siteground hosting offers basic email at your
domain name and Siteground also installs some basic security measures for your website,
and they pride themselves on the security of their servers. This covers some of the basics of security
for your website, but getting malware monitoring is always a good idea and Siteground offers
for an additional charge. Siteground is a solid choice.

Ive been happy with their hosting services
with the website that I have hosted there. If your interested in Siteground your can
learn more about it by using the link below this video. I also have a quick start video that will
show you how to get started with SiteGround and how to install WordPress with your new
SiteGround account. So which one is the best website hosting? This is kind of tough as I said in the beginning
I think that it really depends on your needs and the services that you think are most important.

If you want the easiest to use over all thats
probably Bluehost. They offer great onscreen tutorials and fairly
easy to use hosting control panel. Bluehost also provide additional paid premium
support if you think that you might need some additional help. SiteGround is a good solid choice for low
initial cost and great support.

With Solid State Drives on all of their servers
their hosting will also perform well even with their low cost base plan. I have a website hosted with them and Im
really happy with their service. I have kind of a soft spot for Dreamhost hosting. It is where I started out with my first website
and I really like that their plans dont offer a lot of up sells.

They provide you with what you need at a fair
price and with good quality hosting and good support. If you want to host a lot of little sites
on one basic hosting account Dreamhost is the least expensive in the long run. I really like being able to start out with
one website on their basic hosting and then easily move that to their WordPress Managed
hosting with all that Jetpack offers and all of the features that you need like Malware monitoring,
spam comment protection and daily backups. All three of these are great website hosting
choices.

Just choose that one the fits your needs the
best. You can learn more about them by using the
links below and when you have chosen the right one for your situation get started building
your website. Once you have decided which website hosting
company is right for you, I can walk you thru how to get started and how to setup WordPress
on all of these hosting companies just check out the links to those tutorials at the end
of this video. If you want help finding the best and easiest
ways to build your own website check out my free tutorial series where Ill help you
get started making your own website.

What Is Shared HostingGoDaddy

What Is Shared
Hi there! In this video, youll learn what shared hosting is and a few ways to identify if a shared hosting solution is right for you. In a shared hosting solution, your hosting account is one of many accounts on a server, or group of servers, that are maintained by a hosting provider. If youre new to hosting and watching your budget, shared hosting might be a good place to start. Heres a few things to consider, when determining
if shared hosting is the right choice for you.

In general, the daily traffic to a small business website doesnt exceed 2,000 visitors. This means that small business websites typically dont require a lot of bandwidth or resources to support them. In addition, newer, small business websites
tend to be more simple and straightforward, with fewer website files and data. Which in turn, means they often do not require a lot of server space or other resources.

By sharing a hosting server with others, shared hosting solutions allow you to get your small business website the power and space it needs, at a much lower cost than a dedicated solution. If you decide that shared hosting is right for you, youll need to decide which type of shared hosting you want. GoDaddy offers three shared hosting solutions: cPanel, Plesk, and Managed Wordpress. Each of these solutions offers different features and benefits.

You can learn more about all of them on GoDaddy.Com. Remember, shared hosting allows you to share hosting space and costs with others, while helping get the speed and space you need
for your small business website..

Top 3 Best Web Hosting for WordPress (2016)

Top 3 Best Web Hosting for WordPress (2016)
- [Narrator] Are you looking to create your first website or blog with WordPress? As the most powerful website
platform on the planet, WordPress has allowed
millions of ordinary people to create amazing websites
with zero coding required. If you're looking to get started, you'll need a Web Host in
order to install WordPress, and in this video, I'll
reveal the top three best web hosts for WordPress beginners. After hands-on testing and comparison, we've determined that these
three popular web hosts are perfect for beginners
looking to get started with WordPress in a matter of minutes. Stay tuned to find out more.

(Tinkling chimes) Hey, what's up guys? ODI productions here
from How2MakeWebsite.Com, your number one online resource for building your very
first website or blog. So today, we have a
special comparison video where we'll be recommending
our top three picks for the best web hosts
for WordPress beginners. For those new to WordPress or
unfamiliar with web hosting, we're going to briefly
explain what a web host does and why you need one. So by now, you probably
heard that WordPress is a powerful content-management system used by top bloggers
and big websites alike, such as TechCrunch.Com.

Here at How2MakeWebsite.Com,
we stand behind WordPress as the best blogging
platform in the world, and we're committed to empowering others to create their own websites
easily and affordably. So how do you get started? Well, before you needed three things to get a WordPress website up and running, and these three things
were, one, a domain name such as How2MakeWebsite.Com,
two, a web host which allows you to install WordPress and store your information
live on the internet by renting you space on their web servers, and three, a manual installation
of the WordPress platform, downloaded from WordPress.Org. Before, you had to get
all three of these things and connect them all together manually, which can be a headache for most people with no web developing experience. Today, when you sign up for any of these recommended web hosts, you get all three bundled
together with no hassle or fuss.

So which three web hosts
do we recommend, you ask. Before we rank them individually,
our top three include bluehost, HostGator, and SiteGround. With each of these web hosts, we were able to sign up and build a WordPress website from scratch in just minutes. At this moment, we would also like to give an honorable mention to DreamHost, which is another
WordPress-recommended web host.

Now we're going to compare performance by running a website site speed test to see who's the fastest on
the basic shared server plan. The way we conducted this
test is by using a tool by the company Pingdom, which
preforms a website speed test based on performance,
optimization, and load times. Each website used the exact
same theme, header image, and then one blog post
with a single image. Also, we added the same
caching plug-in to each website to max out performance.

Here are the results. As you can see here,
each host scored the same performance grade of an 88, which means that our
websites are highly optimized by using the same theme
and caching plug-in. Now the difference is in load times, especially when compared
to all other sites tested. Comping in third, the
HostGator site loaded up in 1.9 Seconds, which is faster
than 74% of tested sites.

That's pretty solid performance for a basic shared server plan. In second, we have bluehost which loaded significantly
faster than HostGator with a load time of just 1.11 Seconds. This load time was quick
enough to be considered faster than 88% of tested sites. What surprised me the most
was SiteGround's performance, since SiteGround is a much smaller company than the giants bluehost and HostGator.

The SiteGround site loaded
up in under a second, at a blazing 769 milliseconds, which is faster than a
whopping 93% of tested sites. And all of this on the most
basic, shared server plan. So for performance, SiteGround
blazes past the competition with bluehost coming in
second, and HostGator third. Now that we know the performance numbers, next we're going to compare pricing, both normal and on sale,
to see which web host is actually the most
expensive, whether on sale or during regular pricing.

All plans we are looking at will be the most basic shared server plan, which is more than enough for beginners and comes WordPress-ready. PS: If you want access to
these special discounts, click the link to the Resource Page in the description below. For HostGator, regular
pricing without discounts starts at $8.95 Per month, which is a little bit on the pricier side. After applying discounts,
the current sale plan pricing starts as low as $3.95
For a three year plan, and $5.95 For a one year plan.

So less than $6 a month is
very fair for what you get. One last note about HostGator
is they do not offer a free domain upon registration. So that adds an extra
$12.95 To your total costs. For bluehost, regular pricing
without discount starts at $7.99 Per month, about a
dollar cheaper than HostGator.

After applying discounts,
the current sale pricing matches up with HostGator,
starting at $3.95 For a three year plan, and
$5.95 For a one year plan. The difference is that bluehost
includes your domain name free of charge with your
sign-up, about a $12 value. For our best performer SiteGround, regular pricing without discount starts at $9.94 Per month, which
is the most expensive out of the three, but you also
get the fastest performance. After applying discounts,
the current sale pricing drops by a whopping 60%
to only $3.95 Per month, and this $3.95 Rate applies
to one year plans as well.

On top of all that, you
also get a free domain name, just like bluehost. After reviewing the
pricing and performance, it's clear to see that SiteGround starts to pull away from the
competition based on value. Once again, make sure to
visit the Resource Page below to access the lowest prices
and best discounts available, updated daily on our site. Now, it's time to finally
rank our top three web hosts individually, by discussing
the benefits of each while factoring in the performance scores and pricing we just went over.

So coming in at third place is HostGator, which came in last in performance but ended up with the
highest cost after discounts. It's important to remember
that the HostGator site still loaded faster than
74% of tested sites, which is not slow by any means. This may seem like a disappointing finish, but remember, we're looking
at the top three web hosts for WordPress overall, so
HostGator is still a better choice than the hundreds of web hosts out there. The benefits of HostGator include: award-winning tech support
and server reliability with a 99.9% Uptime guarantee.

This basically means that
over the course of one year, your website may only be down for less than nine hours
total out of that entire year. This is a major key for a lot of people and one of the reasons why HostGator is up here with the best. WordPress 1-click install, this is one of the most important features for WordPress beginners,
as it allows you to install the WordPress platform onto your domain just minutes after signing up. If you're a beginner, this
is a must-have feature as it saves you the headache of having to install WordPress yourself.

Best of all, HostGator
features a generous 45-day money-back guarantee, longer than either bluehost or SiteGround. If you think HostGator is
the right web host for you, make sure to watch our step-by-step video on how we created this exact website just minutes after
signing up with HostGator. Coming in at number two is
the ever-popular bluehost. Along with HostGator,
bluehost is one of the most recognizable household names
in the web hosting market.

Chances are that the popular blog you like runs on either of these web hosts. Bluehost continues to
grow year after year, and is a fan favorite for newbie bloggers. Here are some of the benefits for beginners looking to use bluehost. You'll receive your domain
name completely free of charge for the first year, unlike
HostGator who charges $12.95.

Bluehost is the #1 recommended web host by the official WordPress website. It's also the most popular
choice for WordPress users, powering over two million websites. It includes WordPress 1-click install, and you get a 30 day money-back guarantee. If you think bluehost is
the right web host for you, make sure to watch our step-by-step video on how we created this exact website just minutes after
signing up with bluehost.

In a surprise finish,
coming in at number one is the underdog, SiteGround. What's not to love about SiteGround? They are a much smaller company than either bluehost or HostGator, but they scored the
fastest performance scores and lowest pricing after discounts. No doubt, the value here is exceptional. Now, SiteGround may not be
as much of a household name as the other two, but it
is one of the most popular web hosts for WordPress
users specifically, and is also an official
recommended web host on the WordPress website,
as you can see here, so it's not like they're unknown.

In recent years, SiteGround
has rapidly gained a huge and loyal following through their top-notch customer service, not to mention fantastic
performance and reliability for the money. Here are some of the
benefits for beginners looking to use SiteGround. An official
WordPress-recommended web host. You get your domain name
completely free of charge when signing up, just like bluehost.

WordPress 1-click install, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you think our winner siteground is the right web host for you, make sure to watch our step-by-step video on how we created this exact website just minutes after signing
up with SiteGround. So that wraps up our top
three recommendations for WordPress web hosting for beginners. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either of these top three picks.

The more important thing
is to just get started. Be sure to check out any
of these three videos which shows you how to get started with the web host of your choice. Also, if you want to get access to our special discounted pricing, click the link in the description below which will take you to our Resource Page with all of our available

Hosting a static website on Amazon S3 (AWS howto)

Hosting a static
Hello everyone! In this video I'm going to
show you how you can host static websites on Amazon S3. But before we do that, let's
first take a look at what S3 is. Well S3 is a cloud storage service, built by Amazon,
that allows you to store an unlimited amount of files in the cloud. And being the cloud,
you of course only pay for what you use.

So why would you use S3 instead of a regular
webhost? Well first of all S3 has great performance. It's also very secure since you don't have
PHP or a MySQL database running that can be compromised. It's low cost in the sense that
you only pay for what you use and it can scale very well. It can scale from 1 request per
second to dozens of requests per second.

So what's next in this tutorial? I'm going to
show you how you can create a bucket. We're going to enable the static website hosting
feature, we're going to set a bucket policy allowing all our files to be accessed through
a browser. And than we're going to test our website and see if it actually works. So let's begin.

So for the purpose of this video, I've created
a simple website that I'm going to host on S3, called "My awesome website". And this
is what it looks like. It's basically two simple pages with "Hello world, this is my
awesome website's homepage. There's even a second page which you check out here".

And
you can click and than it navigates to page2.Html and than you can back if you want, back to
the homepage. Okay so let's now host our static website
on Amazon. Let's go to the AWS management console, which is at console.Aws.Amazon.Com.
And I'm going to open up the S3 management console here. As you can see I have a lot
of buckets where I can store files.

And for my website I'm going to create a new bucket.
I'm going to click "Create Bucket" and I'm going to call it "www.Myawesomewebsite.Com".
I'm going to leave the region by default, Ireland. I live in Europe so this is a very
good region. I'm not going to set up logging, so I'm just going to go for "Create". And Amazon is now creating my bucket and boom,
there you have it.

My bucket has been created. So the first thing that we're going to do
is enable static website hosting for this bucket. So I'm going to click on "Static website
hosting" and I'm going to click "Enable" and now Amazon wants to know what our index and
error documents are. So my index document is very traditional, it's called "index.Html"
and my error document is called "404.Html".

These are two files that should be in this
bucket, for the website to work. So I'm going to click "Save" and right now my bucket and
my website is accessible through this URL. So it's called [reads URL]. So if I click
on it, I see "403 forbidden".

That's pretty logical because there's nothing in the bucket
yet. So let's go into the bucket, let's click on the name. And I'm going to upload some
files, so here I'm going to say "Add files" and I'm going to select all my files here,
my HTML files. You can't actually upload folders to this but we're going to do that manually.
Okay, so there are my files.

Now I'm going to create a folder "CSS" and in that folder
I'm going to upload my stylesheet. And there you have it, my website is completely uploaded
to Amazon S3. Now let's take a look if that website is already
up and running. So let's go to my website and hit refresh.

No, I still got "403 forbidden".
Why is that? Well, Amazon makes sure that all the files that you upload are not publicly
accessible straight away. This is a security feature. You have two choices: either you
can make every file public - which you can do, you click on a file, open it's properties
and than you can set the permissions and you can allow anyone to get your object OR you
can do this instantly for all files in your bucket. I think that's a much nicer solution,
so let's go for that! So to do that, let's click on your bucket name and let's go the
properties - which is by default selected - and we're going to select "Permissions".
We're going to add a bucket policy.

So now Amazon asks you which policy I have to add.
Well I have already created a policy here, which is stored on my desktop. And this is
the policy that you need to make all files in your bucket publicly accessible. I will
share this in the video's description. So basically what you're saying is that we're
allowing anyone to read or get an S3 object, and we're going to allow it for all files
in this bucket, which is the name of my bucket.

So let's save that and let's save here as
well. And now if I'm gonna go back to my website and I hit refresh, sure enough there is my
website! Hello World! I can navigate to the other page and I can navigate back and all
is very well. Now let's also test our error document. So here we navigate to "index.Html".
Let's say I want to go to "blabla.Html" which is a file that does not exist.

If I hit enter,
Amazon automatically redirects me to my error document. I created this file: "404, oops,
page gone missing". And so that's it! We hosted our static website on Amazon S3. I hope you
enjoyed this video! Thanks for watching!.
